Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Commercial Operations is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and execution of core operations functions that enable the U.S. commercial organization to drive performance, ensure compliance, and deliver on business objectives. This role oversees sales and marketing operations including responsibilities across incentive compensation, field operations, CRM management, reporting, marketing operations, content management, speaker bureau execution, HCP contracting support, and materials management/fulfillment.


The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of the U.S. pharmaceutical marketplace, operational excellence, and compliance standards, along with proven experience enabling sales and marketing teams through scalable and efficient commercial operations.

Essential Functions:

Incentive Compensation & Field Operations
•    Design and oversee U.S. incentive compensation (IC) strategy, including plan design, modeling, governance, and ongoing operations.
•    Manage field operations support, including territory alignment, roster management, and call planning.
•    Partner with Sales leadership and Commercial Strategy team to monitor performance, execute field reporting, and provide actionable insights.


CRM & Commercial Technology Enablement
•    Lead U.S. CRM strategy and operations (e.g., Veeva CRM, Salesforce) to ensure usability, data integrity, and adoption by our commercial field teams.
•    Collaborate with IT and data strategy teams to implement and optimize commercial tools that support omnichannel engagement.


Commercial Reporting & Business Insights
•    Develop and oversee dashboards and reporting that provide timely, accurate visibility into U.S. sales and marketing performance.
•    Partner with Commercial Strategy team to ensure consistency in KPIs, performance measurement, and business reviews.


Marketing & Promotional Operations
•    Lead promotional content management systems, align teams to promotional review workflows, and materials fulfillment processes.
•    Oversee execution of speaker programs, including speaker bureau operations and logistics, ensuring compliance with U.S. regulatory standards.
•    Provide operational support for marketing campaigns and event execution.
•    Partner with Compliance and Legal to support U.S. HCP contracting and payment processes (Sunshine Act transparency reporting).


Governance, Compliance & Leadership
•    Ensure all commercial operations activities adhere to U.S. industry regulations (e.g., PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, FDA promotional requirements).
•    Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Medical Affairs to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
•    Lead, coach, and develop a team of U.S. commercial operations professionals, fostering collaboration and excellence.

Experience and Education:

•    12–15 years of commercial operations experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
•    Proven leadership in incentive compensation, field operations, CRM management, reporting/analytics, and marketing operations.
•    Deep knowledge of U.S. commercial compliance requirements, including FDA promotional rules, PhRMA Code, and Sunshine Act.
•    Track record of collaborating effectively with Sales, Marketing, IT, Medical, Legal, Compliance, and Finance.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related discipline required.
•    MBA or advanced degree preferred.

•    Strong strategic and operational leadership skills, with ability to translate business goals into execution.
•    Expertise in CRM platforms (Veeva, Salesforce) and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI).
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across senior leadership and field teams.
•    Ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
•    Demonstrated success in building and mentoring high-performing teams.

$260,000 - $300,000 a year 

At Dompe, we offer an attractive compensation package to our team members. Any offer would include a competitive base salary (estimate shared above), incentive bonus, and benefits package customary to the position. Actual individual pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
