YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ
The Patient Access Manager reports to the Associate Director, Patient Access Manager and will be a key member of the US organization supporting the company’s efforts related to cenegermin eye drops, which are based on rhNGF (recombinant human nerve growth factor).
Approved in August 2018, OxervateTM eye drops (cenegermin-bkbj ophthalmic solution) is the first-ever topical biologic medication approved in ophthalmology and the first treatment indicated for neurotrophic keratitis (NK), a rare and progressive eye disease that can lead to corneal scarring and visual loss. Oxervate is also the first-ever application of a human nerve growth factor (NGF) as drug or treatment.
The Patient Access Manager (PAM) will be responsible for supporting and maintaining patient support services that maximize access to our product for patients to whom it has been prescribed. The PAM will execute pre-defined strategies and role requirements to address patient access needs. The PAM will manage specific service levels and contribute to managing the performance of the team. The PAM will also be a member of the field leadership team by playing a customer-facing role and work closely with our Field Access Managers (FAMs) to support the needs of physicians and their patients in the field (limited field travel as this role is primarily home office based). The PAM will work with the team to improve existing materials as well as identify, design, and roll out patient access materials as needed. There is also an opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the company, influence the development of the Patient Services organization, and shape the culture of Dompé US.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
The Patient Access Manager (PAM) plays a critical, non-promotional role focused on facilitating patient access to Oxervate through advanced case management support. PAMs are responsible for handling escalations from external vendors and serve as key coordinators in the patient care journey. By closely collaborating with Field Access Managers (FAMs), vendors, and Eye Care Physicians (ECPs), they ensure patients receive the necessary support throughout the access process. Once patient services are initiated, PAMs work within compliance guidelines to address and resolve any access barriers that may arise.
The following essential functions include, but are not limited to:
• Execute Dompé Patient Support Programs: responsibilities include assisting in the identification and resolution of issues related to insurance coverage, specialty pharmacy processes, and hub vendor services.
• Coordinate Patient Access: Collaborate with Specialty Pharmacies, Field Access Managers (FAMs), and patients/families to provide case management support throughout all stages of therapy access.
• Serve as Escalation Point: Act as a primary escalation contact for customers and FAM team to oversee and manage the patient journey. Maintain up-to-date records of patient status, including reimbursement trends and shipping details for U.S. patients. Serve as the key point of contact for FAMs regarding patient access questions or concerns.
• Reporting & Analysis: Provide weekly updates on patient status, adjudication progress, reimbursement outcomes, and other relevant trends. Identify roadblocks and recommend compliant actions to facilitate access and improve processes.
• Reimbursement Process Oversight: Monitor the end-to-end reimbursement process by partnering with the hub vendor and Specialty Pharmacy to triage and resolve issues such as prior authorizations (PAs), denials, appeals, reauthorizations, overrides, and billing discrepancies.
• Provider Communication & Education: Engage with healthcare providers to educate on the Dompé Connect to Care program, answering questions as appropriate to keep the patient journey on track
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Market Access, National Access Managers (NAMs) and FAMs to ensure accurate and timely updates on insurance approvals and reauthorizations for patients enrolled in the Oxervate Patient Journey.
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS: TECHNICAL
• Proven success in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry, including new product launches (biologics, pharmacy benefit, rare/orphan disease, and ophthalmology products) with strong clinical and scientific expertise and established ophthalmology (anterior segment) relationships across private practice and hospital/academic settings.
• Skilled in case management, exercising confidentiality, sound judgment, and independent decision-making.
• Expertise in project and vendor management, with experience thriving in fast-paced, start-up or evolving environments.
• Experience working closely with field organizations to implement patient support programs to support physicians and their patients
• Self-starter with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, open to feedback, and committed to continuous development while valuing diverse perspectives.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement physician/patient support programs in collaboration with field organizations and external stakeholders (physicians, advocacy groups, vendors). Understanding of U.S. biopharmaceutical Regulatory/Legal review process and Compliance landscape
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external groups, customers, and key stakeholders

• Approximately 10% travel - Overnight travel by plane and by car is required to attend some customer and vendor meetings, and other internal meetings as required.
• Bachelor’s degree, with advanced degree or experience in the Healthcare field required
• 3-5 years of biopharmaceutical experience; 1-2 years of managed care, reimbursement, channel management, and customer facing experience

$70,000 - $95,000 a year
