YOUR ROLE AT  DOMPÉ

The Director, HCP Marketing reports to the Senior Director, Brand Lead and will be a critical member of the U.S. organization supporting Dompé’s breakthrough therapy, the first and only ophthalmic biologic product (Oxervate) for patients suffering from neurotrophic keratitis (NK), a rare and progressive eye disease. Oxervate’s primary customers are eye care providers (ECPs) who are managing and treating patients with NK which include the Optometrist (OD), General Ophthalmologist (GO), and Cornea Specialist (CS). 
The Director, HCP Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the HCP brand strategy and brand plan for Oxervate in the US which includes branded and disease state marketing focused on growing the prescriber base and the number of patients receiving Oxervate as well as increasing overall disease awareness for NK. The Director, HCP marketing will collaborate with agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive set of marketing resources to support the three types of ECPs (OD, GO, and CS) and the field representatives that call on them. 

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and executing marketing campaigns and promotional resources supporting brand strategy, a proven track record of successfully working in cross functional teams, will be self-motivated, and excited for the opportunity to evolve the brand’s value proposition fueling sales growth and contributing to the company’s next phase of development and its mission to commercialize innovative products that improve the lives of patients around the world.


Preference for a Bay Area or Orange County, CA based candidate but open to remote work for right individual.

 

The core responsibilities of the  Director,  Oxervate HCP Marketing include:


•    Work cross functionally with PRC (medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance) partners to create impactful and compliant materials that support the brand’s strategy.
•    Partner closely with sales force (KAM) advisory boards/members to ensure alignment on brand strategies, gain customer insights, and understand what tools and resources they need to be effective. Conduct field rides quarterly to keep a “pulse” on the customer.
•    Be an active participant and make valuable contributions to the annual brand planning process. Participate in all workshops and ideation sessions. Assist with development of final plan.
•    Collaborate with agency to refresh the Oxervate campaign for a early 2026 launch (includes strategy, market testing, and execution).
•    Evaluate the effectiveness of the HCP disease awareness campaign and determine appropriate next steps. Perform analytics, run analytics, assess impact, and make a recommendation on how to elevate the way we educate ECPs on NK.
•    Partner closely with the insights and analytics team to co-create market research tools that will provide insights to drive business decisions
•    Under the leadership of the VP of Global Marketing, serve as a liaison to field marketing to align brand strategy and understand needs of that team
•    Partnering with field marketing, create speaker decks for speaker programs and symposia.
•    Serve as the project “sponsor” in the PRC process for any HCP resources that required to be approved by PRC.
•    Create and execute the booth strategy for national conferences (includes booth materials and booth build).
•    Collaborate with sales leadership on National Sales Meetings (NSM) goals and objectives. Create marketing related content for NSM meetings.
•    Partner with sales training on workshop strategy and execution for NSMs.
•    Develop and execute a marketing communications plan which includes, print, trade media, etc.
•    Collaborate with a Great Team: Work cross-functionally and compliantly across marketing, sales, and market access, and PRC to ensure resources and communications are meeting the needs of customers (internal & external) and identifying new opportunities to improve the customer experience.

YOU COULD BE THE PERFECT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
•    A bachelor’s degree, MBA, or master’s level degree a plus 
•    10 years or more of pharmaceutical, biotech, med device (or broader healthcare) commercial experience (with at least 5 years in marketing roles)
•    Experience in HCP marketing at a biotech, pharma or med device company
•    Experience managing external vendors including agencies of record (AORs)
•    Recent ophthalmology experience a plus, ideally in anterior segment
•    Experience in developing and implementing product and/or disease education campaigns
•    A proven track record of self-driven results-oriented work history
•    Experience collaborating with market research to gain customer insights that will lead to activities that drive the business
•    Self-starter that can readily take action on challenges with an appropriate level of planning
•    Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and material approval process
•    Experience with cross-functional review committees

•    Experience partnering with AOR to create impactful branded campaigns

•    Understanding of various vehicles for creating insights and understanding behaviors and needs of target audiences
•    Demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for HCP materials an experience with the health care material review process

$200,000 - $235,000 a year

At Dompe, we offer an attractive compensation package to our team members. Any offer would include a competitive base salary (estimate shared above), incentive bonus, and benefits package customary to the position. Actual individual pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
