Job Summary
Dompé is seeking an Associate Director, Biotech Training responsible for the development and facilitation of a strategic and tactical learning program supporting the Biotech organization. This role will report to the Director of Commercial Brand Training, US Biotech, and will support the creation and facilitation of a learning program to reinforce the competencies and enhance capabilities required to drive objectives for our Field Access Manager (FAM) and Patient Access Manager (PAM) stakeholders, who remain a primary focus of this role. In close collaboration with the Director of Commercial Brand Training, this role will also increasingly support market access training and facilitation for the Key Account Manager (KAM) population, ensuring a consistent market access curriculum and facilitation experience is delivered across all customer-facing commercial roles. This includes new hire onboarding & curricula, new product or indication market access training planning, promotional resource training for market access materials, workshop development & execution, account planning and resource training, all focused on supporting the FAM, PAM, and, in partnership with the Director of Commercial Brand Training, the KAM roles. The role requires a high level of collaboration with Sales, Sales leadership, Brand Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Operations, HR, IT, Legal and Compliance.

Essential Functions
The Associate Director, Biotech Training is responsible for developing and facilitating market access, specialty pharmacy, patient support and access programs and reimbursement-specific training materials, with FAM and PAM as the primary audience and growing facilitation support for KAM in close collaboration with the Director of Commercial Brand Training. Training support spans all areas of Dompé US commercialization, including sales, marketing, and reimbursement. More specifically it will support these areas:
New hire onboarding
● Collaborate with HR and the leadership team for each department on the overall onboarding experience for market access commercial new hires.
● Ensure that all training modules are up to date; develop new training modules as needed for the commercial team for new approved indications, clinical data, competitive products, and other market access related updates.
● Develop & maintain a roadmap and web-based portal working with IT to deliver all new hire brand training, and ensure the platform housing this information stays current
● Collaborate with cross-functional partners to plan & deliver live training and department overviews as part of new hire onboarding (live at new hire meetings, or virtual)
● Work with the L&D Project manager to schedule and calendar all new hire training calls and live meetings
● Develop a process, in partnership with the new hire’s manager, to ensure mastery of the training curriculum and approved messages and resources prior to engaging with customers
● Creates and facilitates workshops for POA and other training meetings, using best-in-class means of training delivery including eLearning, self-study, computer-based training, audio/video, classroom, and experiential learning to ensure the relevant teams are trained to deliver the access and acquisition related attributes of our products and services effectively and compliantly.
● Develops content for and facilitates new hire, and advanced training
● Responsible for developing training activities, including backgrounders and FAQs on payer landscape and pull through associated with promoting and executing brand strategies and tactics
● Assists in the development of Dompé Field Trainers for Market Access relevant topics.
● Collaborates and aligns with medical, commercial operations, market access, and brand marketing to develop high-impact training
● Partners closely with the Director of Commercial Brand Training to extend market access facilitation and curriculum into the KAM population, ensuring a consistent facilitation experience and skill-building approach across FAM, PAM, and KAM roles
● Provides courses in such a way to stimulate and motivate attendees, utilizing a variety of media
● Monitors the effectiveness of training programs through testing and metrics platforms, leveraging data to enhance the development and execution of Oxervate market access training.
● Ensures all training is provided in accordance with company policies and procedures and is conducted in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
● Ensures all developed materials are appropriately approved through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory process.
● Conducts field visits with field access specialists and reimbursement managers to keep abreast of current trends, to identify training opportunities.
● Manages multiple priorities, applying strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
● Possesses a demonstrated mastery in oral and written technical communication as well as background with instructional design
● Develop timelines to ensure submission of all training decks to PRC or compliance prior to the live training
● Coordinate approvals with legal for recording the training, and with HR and the L&D Project Manager for tracking completion of the training attestations when required
● Think outside the box for innovative or unique platforms to deliver training to the team – ex. Podcasts, gaming / “Kahoot”, apps, animation, physician-led, CBL (confidence-based learning) etc.
Skill development & communication
● Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Brand Training and the leadership team of each department to identify areas of ongoing skill development that would be most valuable to their teams. Identify internal partners or external vendors to work with in developing & delivering training on these identified areas of need – ex. Virtual presentation /facilitative leadership skills, selling skills, Zoom, Excel, systems training, etc.
● May also include serving as a certified trainer at Dompé for identified development platforms the company would like to adopt and provide training on for the broader organization vs. relying on external vendors to deliver the training (ex. YouMap, communication platforms such as Insights, Level 5 and TypeCoach, etc)
Master repository
● In collaboration with the Director of Commercial Brand Training utilize a central place to house all internal brand training resources for future use / reference - ex. archived recordings of live training calls, approved training decks, compliance trainings, workshops & workshop materials / slides
● Partner with compliance and quality to ensure that we have a solid audit trail on training and participate in any audits related to training records.
Workshops for live & virtual meetings
● Develop and deliver workshops for live and virtual regional & national meetings
● Ensure that all workshop materials, slides, and training curricula are reviewed and approved by PRC / compliance prior to rollout to the field
● In the absence of live meetings, identify solutions for developing interactive training experiences and workshops for the team to hone new skills and keep other skills & information sharp
Commercial training calendar & planning
● Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Brand Training to create a commercial training calendar for the year and ensure that it is up to date and for ongoing planning purposes
-Collaborate cross-functionally to collect updates & training needs from each department
-Work with content owners and field leadership team to determine the best forum to deliver the training – ex. National call, combined with other topics, region call, live meeting, etc.
● Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Brand Training and field leadership team to communicate upcoming training dates to the field & marketing teams
● Schedule all training calls on Outlook calendar and ensure appropriate attendees are invited
Experience annd Education
● 10 or more years of pharmaceutical/biotech (or broader healthcare) experience, with a strong background in market access, reimbursement, and field-facing training or facilitation
● Recent, hands-on understanding of the US payer and market access landscape, drug pricing dynamics, and reimbursement pathways impacting biotech organizations.
● Demonstrated facilitation and platform skills, with the ability to collaborate, liaise, and drive organizational growth, establishing respect and followership among peers and field stakeholders.
● Superior organizational, technical expertise, and communication skills including strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, problem-solve, analytical abilities and multi-task
● Experience working in a complex matrix set-up with diversified business departments, internal and external stakeholders.
● Up to 30% travel is required, in both US and global markets.
Preferred but not required experience, knowledge and skills
● Recent ophthalmology market experience, ideally in anterior segment; experience in optometry is a plus.
● Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree is a plus.

$203,000 - $230,000 per year

Any offer would include a competitive base salary (estimate shared above), incentive bonus, and benefits package customary to the position.
